For over 18 years, Provence has enjoyed welcoming guests to their well-loved establishment. Regarded as one of the finest French restaurants in the Triangle, Provence features the cuisine of the French Mediterranean with an emphasis on local, seasonal dishes.
In 2012, the transition of ownership to Chef de Cuisine Baptist Knaven and co-owner Dr. Jerry King ensured that the long-standing quality and reputation of Provence continues to thrive. You will still find all of your classic favorites on the menu, such as the beautiful Trout Provençale and Whole Fish baked in Rock Salt, the Onion Soup Gratinée and Lobster Bisque as well as some contemporary creations to celebrate our locally grown food.
Enjoy a casual dining atmosphere, inside or on the patio, with an impressive French and international wine selection. Choose from our great seasonal salads and entrées, and finish with one of our house made desserts such as Crème Brûlée, Pain Perdu and Chocolate Torte.

Restaurant Provence is proud to offer one of the most extensive wine lists in the South! Our expert team has personally selected more than 150 wines that pair perfectly with the dishes on our menu. We're always refining our list to include only the best wines available for our guests.
In the mood for just a taste? In addition to our vast list of wines by the bottle, we also offer more than 25 wines by the glass and more than 20 by the half bottle (375mL).
Perfect Pairings: Monthly Wine Dinners
The best way to enjoy any wine is with a perfectly paired dish. Each month, we offer an exclusive five-course, five-wine tasting menu. Each dinner highlights a specific winemaker, cuisine, or wine-growing region, and each wine is paired with a dish crafted by Chef Baptist specifically for that wine. These dinners are a great way to learn more about wine and enjoy amazing food and even better company.
Our wine dinners are usually held on the third Thursday of each month, with seats available by reservation only. Our chef is happy to accommodate any allergies with advance notice. Please call the restaurant to make reservations at 919.967.5008! (Reservations for wine dinners are not available through OpenTable.)

Internationally known for its wine, France is (of course!) featured prominently on our wine list. We've included many of the best regions in France: Côte du Rhone, Châteauneuf du Pape, the Loire Valley, Burgundy, and more! And no proper list is complete without a selection of beautiful Bordeaux wines—we offer more than twenty wines from this acclaimed and diverse region!
While we certainly love French wine, we have dozens of wines on our menu from the other great wine growing regions in the New and Old World, including Spain, Italy, Argentina, New Zealand, and the United States.

Whether you're celebrating an anniversary, a birthday, or another big event, Provence has plenty of bubbles to keep the party going. We offer eight true champagnes by the bottle (or half-bottle!) and another four sparkling wines from other regions.
