Soft-shell Crab Special!


softshellcrabHorray! Soft-shell crab season is upon us again! We are so happy to be able to offer a special dish to you, perfect for these warm spring days. Our crabs are never frozen, and are delivered fresh to us from Pamlico County, North Carolina.

Chef Danny says, “I’m very excited to share this dish! It is very special to be able to create something that is influenced both by Mediterranean and Carolinian flavors.” We present two cornmeal crusted soft-shell crabs with creamed spinach and couscous-n-cheese (just like macaroni and cheese, but with couscous!) The whole dish is finished with a French remoulade.

Though most North Carolinians recognize the Blue Crab in soft-shell as a native delicacy, the soft-shell crab also has a Mediterranean history. The soft-shell of the common Mediterranean crab has traditionally been a delicacy of the Venetian Lagoon.

Soft-shell crab season is very short, so come visit us to enjoy this dish while the crabs are still pinching!

      Unfortunately soft shell crabs are currently out of season, but of course we have plenty of other things to choose from!
